I will post updates as I get them. It takes about 45 days to get the beer, this is as long as everything is okay with the distributor and the DABC, we should get the beer first part of June.

Update on the Gueuze order. Shelton Brothers will only ship 3-4 cases and they wont be available until May-June for shipping. I will see what other Gueuze and Lambics Shelton Brothers carry, get pricing and then we can see about filling the requirement of 10 cases. On the plus side we may have the opportunity to try several different beers. Here is a list of beers available from Shelton Brothers http://www.sheltonbrothers.com/beers/results.asp

Thanks for the update. I'll look through the list later to see what they have.

FYI, you need to remove the . after results.asp for the link to work.

Mark Alston (Bayou) has a years of experience dealing with Sheldon Bros. He's a good person to talk to about how they operate. The good and the bad.

Slight problem for me here: If they arrive after about June 24th, I won't be able to get my half case. If this is a problem, perhaps I should drop out.

Perhaps if someone acts as a "back-up" for me, ready to step in and take my half case if I cannot. Maybe Ricky? Perhaps since there'll be more variety and it'll make more sense to take a full case?

I'll back you up Carlos. They had a decent selection of sours. I'd be open to a mixture of anything they had.

Yeah, I'll be the back-up back-up. I glanced through the list and there is a lot of things I may be interested in. I'll poke through the list and I'm sure I'll up my order. I'll let you know as soon as I've gotten a chance to give it a good look.

I think they're out at the moment but they definitely have had it and it's delicious.

Ed,

You've taken the words out of my mouth. I've had Bam Noir before also, and would love more Jolly Pumpkin. There are some really interesting beers on that list, the question is will my pocket book keep up with my thirst?

Jolly Pumpkin makes some great beers, they are one of my top ten breweries in the US. I was thinking of sticking to the Lambic brewers/blenders and maybe see about getting Panil from Italy, They make an amazing Flanders Red. I am hoping that we can do another group order and bring in Jolly Pumpkin, Fantome, and any other beers that people would like to try. I am always up for any suggestions.

The beers that I will inquire about are:

Cantillon
Lou Pepe Gueuze (750ml)
Loerik (750ml)
Fou Foune Apricot (750ml)

Drie Fonteinen
Oude Gueze (375ml or 750ml)
Oude Kriek (375ml or 750 ml)
Schaerbeekse Kriek (375ml or 750ml)

Panil
Barrique (750ml)

Struise
Earthmonk (750ml)

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks for all your effort in trying to put this order together Dallas. Our club members will take at least two cases of whatever you end up lining up (and maybe more).

Cantillon, Lou Pepe Gueuze & Loerik
Drie Fonteinen, Oude Gueze
for the lambic's these sound awesome but the Loerik catches my eye..
Panil Barrique & Struise Earthmonk sound awesome and would love to get... the Earthmonk says only 330ml tho.. can you get it in 750ml?

I have sent an email to the DABC requesting the price and availability of the beers listed.

Earthmonk and Loerik are both very limited beers and probably not available, but I thought that I should at least ask.

The Earthmonk, when available, is a 330ml bottle.

Well it has been 2 weeks since I sent an email to the DABC and today they responded with you should contact Shelton Brothers directly and find out what is available. I will keep everyone posted on what we can get for our Gueuze/Lambic order.

I have some good news.

There are 4 cases of Cantillon Gueuze on the way (I am not sure of the bottle size), I will split the cases evenly between everyone. Also I am in direct contact with Shelton Brothers and can get a timely response on the amount available, and the estimated cost of special order beers.

I am thinking of ordering 2 cases of the following: Drie Fonteinen Gueuze 750ml ( est $15 ), 375ml ( est $8 ), and Drie Fonteinen Doesjel (sleepy gueuze) 750ml (est $25).

Let me know what you guys think.
